That was the quietest sold out show I’ve ever been to. It must have been the average age of the band and audience. RIM sponsored so I got free tix.
The band sounded great. Open roofed skydome with the CN tower overlooking provided a great atmosphere.
But the crowd just didn’t seem into it. It seemed like a muted reaction as compared to the Jonas brothers concert at the same venue a few weeks ago. I didn’t go to that one, I just heard about it
With the Leaf game, U2, and TIFF going on, everything was very busy. Public transit parking was full so I parked on a side street about 1km uphill from the station.
After the concert, I tested myself by seeing if I could sprint uphill to my car. I made it, but I guess my mental faculties weren’t sharp after the physical exertion.
I couldn’t find my car! Towed or stolen? This prompted more running around. I also forgot my BB at home and I gave the last of my change to kids on the street.
After another lap around the street, I remembered I parked it on another connected street. Whew!
I was already wondering how I’d get home without a phone or change, not to mention how I would explain this to the car’s stakeholders (Dy).
Anyways, all seems in order except for my bedtime!
