    Thanksgiving weekend

Yeah, it’s an American thanksgiving…so what?

The only thing better than thanksgiving dinner is two thanksgiving dinners. With the help of Lawrence and his trusty GPS, my dad (yeah he’s in town) and I headed to the eastern woods of Seattle at my boss’ place. It was thanksgiving for Seattle transplants. So that meant Canadians and people from San Francisco. We did not eat the whole day in anticipation of the feasts that night. Luckily, my boss and his wife, Teresa, did not disappoint. The eating did not end at that time because we headed to Tita Beng and Frank’s house after…actually the eating did end for me, but the opportunity was there. I got to catch up with friends that helped me get settled the first time I was in Seattle as an intern. I spent a bunch of time there as an intern and its like a home away from home.

Over the weekend, I also got to watch “Stranger than fiction”. It’s a clever movie and it’s nice to see Will Ferrell wake up from his Talladega night and do some acting.

    moved out

So i’m officially moved again. The gallery, as you might notice, is not up yet. I have so much data to transfer so I can’t do it all that quickly. One thing that you might notice is that there’s a store now. I’m not selling things out of my basement. It’s actually an amazon associate store called “Astore”. I put a few things there that I’d recommend.

    short term relationships

Usually, I’m all about long-time relationships. I was with my first girlfriend for two year, grade 4 to 6. I have been with Dy for over 8 years. I also usually have long relationships with my web hosts. My first one was 4 years…my latest one, however, will end after 6 months. I have nothing bad to say about my current provider, 1&1 (not because I’m afraid they’ll delete my stuff). I have just amassed all of this geek knowledge in my career that I’ve become very picky and needy. In order to support current and future endeavors, I need a host that has it’s finger on the pulse of the Ethernet cable. Dreamhost seems to fit the bill initially. I’ve already signed up with them so I’ll see if they satisfy my pickiness. Sorry Dan, I used a promo code to sign up. I put your email there too, but they said since I used a promo code, it can’t put you as a referrer. I have a month to move out, so there will be some transition pains. I’m also not shy about showing the transitions so you’ll probably see a lot of broken things over the next few months. I haven’t even fixed the stupid tab links at the top of this page. It’s like I moved in here, but didn’t unpack my boxes yet.

On a side note, this built in spell checker in firefox2 is quite good. I never knew I mistyped so much.
