    fall where?

This was the first daylight savings that I did not notice or remember. All of my clocks are automatically updated so I never realized it when I woke up.

It’s been a while since I last posted. There hasn’t been much to talk about on my end. I’m still working hard both in the office and out of it. I’m playing on two basketball different basketball teams.

Actually, I have a million thoughts in my head at a time. I’m in the quarter life crisis phase. I’m constantly wondering where my life and career are taking me. I really don’t want to waste any time although some of it slips through the cracks when I watch past seasons of HBO’s Entourage.

Also, I’m considering changing webhosts yet again. I’m looking for a similar host that provides support for ruby on rails. Dreamhost and site5 seem like the front runners. I really don’t want to migrate everything again, but I’m not incredibly happy with 1and1.

    Why do we fall?

I watched batman begins again recently and it reminded me of my basketball game last Sunday…

It was my first league game in like 10 years, so I was pretty nervous. I missed my first four shots, but went on to score 21 points by the time I wanted to get a big block on a fast break at the end of the game. I had the dude perfectly lined up so I jumped with my eye on the ball and where it was going to go. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the mesh and my fingers got caught. I must have lost a couple of brain cells when I landed on my shoulder and head. It reminded me when I was learning to do a backflip from a roundoff and landed on my head. I saw stars for a bit, wiggled my toes, and fingers so I knew I was OK. I got up, shook my head, ran down for the court, called for the ball, and scored my 22nd and 23rd points. We were up by 11 with less than a minute to go.

Quoting Bruce Wayne’s pops, “Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”

    LAMtastic voyage

Today I got to ride in lawrence’s new ride. It’s a dope one too. It’s an infinity G35 that comes complete with a GPS system that talks to you in a Chinese accented, female voice. I think he overpaid for that feature. I would have opted for the ebonics option instead.

He’s polling for a name for a car. So go to his site and pick a name. I said it should be “Gina” for the “G”35 and “IN”finity, but that sounds like it’s Italian. So I think it should be “Gini” instead … well that sounds forrest gumpish.

I know what you’re thinking…three posts in a day? Yeah it happened.

    Missed birthday announcements

This might be the first time since the inception of this forsaken website that I didn’t post happy birthdays to Dylan and Joel. I did manage to call them, so I guess that counts and you all probably don’t care that it was their birthdays.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t greet them in person, but I will be able to at the end of this week since I’m heading back to Toronto for a few days. There’s a lot to do, but it feels like everything is happening on friday.

    sister visits.

Last weekend, my sister, Eileen, and her husband and my brother in law, David visited me in Seattle. The first went to California to visit a bunch of family as usual. The pictures from their trip sound like they had fun. They were in san francisco like I was a couple of weeks ago and they went on something called the 49-mile drive. I never heard of it and I’m sorry I missed it because I heard it was good. While in Seattle, I showed them to some of my favourite places in Seattle: Greenlake, University district, pike place, the premium outlets, and my work. The dynamics of hosting guests such as my sister and Dave are interesting. Let me tell you why. As you might have noticed from the pictures, Eileen is pregnant! As you might not have noticed from the pictures, Dave has a bad hip that was fixed with surgery after their trip. Seattle is very much a walking city, so you’d think they would have trouble. Luckily, we got around fine and saw many places in the short time they were here.
