    Floating globe

This thing is dope. IFO 3000 provides a magnetic field so that metallic objects can float. I’ll wait till it’s available on amazon. This is one step closer to a hoverboard that Back to the Future promised in 9 years.

    Asian Adventures

I’ve been away from Canada for over two months on my “graduation trip”. I’ll be back on Thursday night. Hope I didn’t miss out on too much in North America.

    Melissa’s professional wedding pictures

Some of Melissa’s profession wedding pictures are up. More will be uploaded over the weekend.

I still need to finish the theme of the gallery so it matches the rest of the site. I’m almost done, but my free hours are rare.

    8 years

Wow, Dy and I have been together for 8 years now…incredible.

If you haven’t noticed there are random pictures in the sidebar. The media gallery does not have this site’s theme yet. I’m lazy, what can I say?

    Did you know…

That I won an award at work? They only give out two awards and I was lucky enough to receive one of them. Every quarter, we have an “All Hands” meeting which means that it’s a meeting for the entire company in Seattle. They usually host it in a theatre because there are so many of us geeks. During the meeting, our president and CEO Jeff Bezos signs and hands out the awards. I was in Toronto for my sister’s wedding so I did not get to receive it there…but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I got it. Here’s what it looks like:

    My door desk award

    Here’s a description:

    Door Desk Award Criteria
The Door Desk Award recognizes and rewards well-built ideas that help Amazon.com deliver lower prices to customers by saving us money. To receive a Door Desk Award, nominees have to come up with a solution to a problem or an idea that helps us save money or increase productivity. Well-built ideas help find a better way to better serve internal or external customers and save money in doing so. Nominees’ ideas may also significantly improve a measurable productivity metric, doing more with less. Nominees’ ideas work out; they must be implemented and measurable. Finally, the idea may very well be part of a nominee’s regular job, but it must go beyond simply doing one’s job really well.

    wedding date confirmed

Dy and I have confirmed an official wedding date. Luckily it’s the date we wanted. I’m not sure I’m supposed to reveal it here, so I’ll play safe an not post it. It’s next summer on a special day.

Throughout my search, I’ve talked to many people and there are a lot of very helpful and nice people out there.  I’ve booked a 2nd meeting with someone and hopefully we can work something out, I’m keeping my fingers crossed X….
